The UPF Rating (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) is 50+ for maximum sun protection. A boardshort connector on the front allows you to attach to your trunks to keep the top from bunching up.

I bought this for my little sister, who is very pale. We will see today if this helps keep her burn free, but she liked the size and feel of it.

This is a really nice rash guard. The color is even better in person. Its a little brighter which I really like. I'm 5'3" and 120lb and I wasn't sure on the size so I ordered a small and an extra small and ended up going with the small. The extra small was just a little tight especially around the neck. The small fits well. I wanted it to be fitted and it is without being so tight that I look squished in it. I only wish it was a little shorter but definitely not a major issue. Overall I really like it. I'm going to Ecuador and plan to use it a lot to keep the sun off of me and it seems like a really good quality rash guard that will hold up for me. The size chart was accurate and really helpful for me so definitely use that as a guideline when deciding on a size.
