Prior to buying this I got the Hyperflex combination rashguard shirt and hood. I found having a separate rashguard with this 3/2 hood to be much better. The hood on the previous on fit way too tight around the chin. I pushed so hard on my jaw that I would have jaw and head ache at the end of my windsurfing session. I also hated that I could not just take off the hood during breaks in my windsufing sessions. This separate hood fits way better (looser) around the chin (yet still lets in very little water). I also love that I can take it on and off during breaks without having to unzip and take off half my wetsuit in order to remove an attached rashguard. At first, I was concerned about whether the collar flange of this hood would pull out from my wetsuit collar while windsurfing. However, I have taken some pretty hard fall and this has never been a problem. This is a nice warm hood. I highly recommend it.
