Once wet, it wanted to float and hold me up, so the shoulders went up by my ears and all my upper back was totally open to waterflow. It isn't the tightness or it - it's the length! It all goes up and leaves upper back and neck and shoulders bare. What IS warm and protected is the truck: ribs and lower back, abdomen. It helps. It makes the pool water bearable, so I'll keep it.
