This unique hooded top is perfect for transforming any wetsuit into a hooded suit without adding bulk! The body and arms are made of poly fleece, which wicks moisture from your skin. The integrated 3mm hood provides is appropriate for moderate temps in the 50-60 degree range. The added benefit of a hooded top versus a bibbed hood is that you increase the flush resistance and reduce the possibility of the hood gasket pulling out of your wetsuit collar.

I bought this to wear underneath my 4/3 Quicksilver wetsuit when the weather gets cold. The 4/3 suit has a full back zip (because I hate trying to get into or out of a neck entry suit). I have had it for two years now and it has performed very well. I surf in water down to about 40 degrees and I am good for a couple hours.
Not cheap but good product

The hooded version is almost twice the price as the non-hooded which is pushing it I think but it's a good item. I'm right between two sizes and opted for the smaller one, it is very tight. I wear it for kiteboarding under a 5/3 wetsuit in 45 degree water with 2 other layers so it needs to be tight but if you wear it by itself it will be more comfortable to size up. The hood is good but the inside has no fleece which for the price I was expecting it would. It really helps preventing flushing from the neck by providing a tight seal. The hood visor is useless and already unstitching on the sides after a few uses, I will have to remove it. The neck could have been more flexible, it is very difficult to pass the head, especially when removing it. The hood neck has a flap that is not stitched so I put another layer on top of it which holds it down when getting dressed, otherwise you almost need someone's help to make sure it stays inside the wetsuit collar when closing or the seam at the neck won't be water tight.
Hood is too tight on chin

This was the first wetsuit hood I ever bought. I was thinking it would be great to have the hood connected to the rash guard shirt. However, I discovered I don't like it because when I take short breaks during my windsurfing I would like to take just pull the hood off for a few minutes, but you can't do this without unzipping and taking off the top half of your wetsuit to get the rash guard shirt and hood off. I also found that the hood fit way too tight around my chin. It actually pushes my jaw back into my skull. Everytime I used it I ended up getting a horrible jaw and head ache. It was even more irritating that I couldn't at least pop off the hood during breaks. I ended up buying a separate rashguard shirt and Hyperflex Access 3.2 Hood and this works way better for me. The separate hood also doesn't fit so tight around the chin. So, no more headaches. Also, was concerned getting the separate hood because I thought the flange might pop out of my wetsuit collar. But, I have taken some pretty slamming falls while windsurfing and I've never had a problem with the collar flang poping out. So, even though this rashguard hood combination is made of quality material, I recommend passing on it and getting them as separate pieces.
It is made with quality material. The rash guard is great
great product!

I've worn this for several years now paddling in the Puget Sound (48-52 degrees year round). It's a perfect addition to the cold water ensemble when worn under a farmer john or 3/2 fullsuit. After hundreds of uses, it's still as good as new.
