Improve Cardiovascular Health

Surfing engages your entire body and involves quite a bit of cardio. You spend a lot of time paddling out to catch your next wave, which will get your heart pumping and your blood flowing.

As you learn how to surf, the consistent cardiovascular workout will lower your resting heart rate, as well as your blood pressure. Over time you will notice that it feels easier to complete the cardio portion of surfing.

When you surf, you are out on the open ocean and usually exposed to sunlight. Doing this consistently will increase your vitamin D levels.
