If worn alone, they allow for sun protection and add some slight warmth but wear them under your gloves and they make getting into and out of the gloves (along with even getting into and out of your wetsuit) easier as well as providing additional warmth. They also reduce wear and tear on your gloves and feature durable flatlock stitching and are made from quick drying material.
