The shorty fit very well. I'm 6 feet tall, weigh 165 lbs., 32 inch waist, and have a 40 inch chest. The medium was perfect. The zipper on front worked great as well, allowing me to unzip partially while on land and stay cool. I dove in Curacao in February and stayed warm throughout my dives.

I use my shorty wetsuit for multiple pool trips weekly. It keeps me warm (I'm a cold water wimp), allows for easy movement and is very easy to get in or out of thanks to the front zipper. I bought this model for the placement of the zipper. The only downside is the neoprene is negatively impacted by even small amounts of chlorine in the water, so a suit only lasts about 10 months before it starts to fall apart.

I bought this wet suit so I could do some moderate exercise swimming in Lake Michigan. The water temp this week has been between 58 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit. I have been totally amazed. My core has been extremely comfortable. The suit is easy to put on and take off. I wear rash guards underneath. There is a slight restriction to shoulder movement when swimming, but a fair trade-off for the warmth. I am very happy with this purchase. Good price and fast delivery.

Great product that was easy to get on and off and worked great in the pacific ocean off the oregon coast to stay warm. Used mostly for launching a zodiac off the beach so not long extended periods in the water.

3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Good Suit But Some Problems
    Reviewer: tim bork   |  9-5-2014

I generally like this suit but there are two real problems. 1. It fits on the top but too big on the bottom. I ordered the medium and it fit my chest area snuggly. However, the waist and leg areas are designed for an overweight individual. i am a standard 40 suit. Pants are 33. My calves are muscular and of normal size. So if you are in good shape and wear a 40 suit, i think you will find a problem with the bottom of the suit. 2. It leaks profusely through the front zipper. I like the front zipper but wonder why it comes all the way down the leg. The length of the zipper, the length of the front of the suit, results in water rushing in. This could be because the bottom of the suit is designed too big for normal figures. I don't know. The bottom line is that I like this suit better than the quicksilver with the back zipper. That leaked around every seam. However, I think the overly large bottom design and the lengthy zipper make this less than a perfect option.

I'm in my 60s and still love to boogie board. The past few years the water was too cold. After my wife kept suggesting to get a wetsuit, I finally did. This one seemed to be the best and I was not disappointed. I was in the water over 5 hours in two days. I am a L-XL and bought the XXL to be safe. I probably could have bought the XL but now my larger son/grandsons can use it too. I thought the quality and price equal the value. STRONG RECOMMENDATION

I have used many wet suits and this one is the best choise for warm water applications . Front zip is much faster and easier to put on and off.

Reviewer: Jim - Hatteras Island Rescue, NC   |  2-3-2014

We have been using the Henderson 3mm front zip shorty wetsuits for awhile now; probably 8-10 years. It is the preferred wetsuit by our rescue members for the following reasons: It is donned quickly and can be done so in the back of a rescue vehicle or in 20 seconds or less prior to departure from the station. It can be removed quickly after a call and if we have a second call while it is still wet, it can be re-donned without difficulty. It is durable and survives being stowed in a gear bag by our members. We provide ocean rescue via PWCs with water temps usually between 64 to 78 degrees and it works very well in this application. Some of our members continue to use it in the summer for the added warmth and protection (sunburn, abrasions from the rescue sled and jellies). It is used because it is quick and easy to don (and it looks sharp as well!). It goes on easy over skin or a tee shirt and trunks. We always try to buy Henderson and Wetsuit Warehouse had the best price and the shipping was super fast.

pretty happy with it, although not tried in water yet. Happy with this site too with free shipping...and look for a coupon code. Seems like really good quality and pretty glad I didn't go with the base Henderson for halve the price although things are tight right now. 10 yr warranty and I see that it should last a long time. I'm very glad I went with a size larger (XL) also. I was concerned because my chest is at the top of the large scale despite the hips and other areas falling well within the L. It is harder than I thought to get off unless you unzip it completely..which I don't remember doing with an old shorty in the past..and that's fine
